Contact with Parents

We recognise that parents are a child’s first educators, and our aim is to work with children and their families in order to build upon past experiences and knowledge.

We aim to keep families informed at all times by:

· Sending monthly newsletters with information regarding coming events, and letters on individual issues.

· Curriculum and other meetings that are held regularly.

· Parent consultations with members of staff that take place each term to discuss individual children.

· Notice boards in the foyer that have various items of information.

We actively encourage parents and other family members to come into the nursery to help or to share their skills and experiences. There is a “Helpers” board in the foyer.

The Headteacher has an ‘open door’ policy, encouraging parents to share with her their concerns or comments regarding any aspect of nursery life.
