The Curriculum
We follow the curriculum as set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage. The learning takes place both indoors and outdoors, using the nursery's excellent facilities.
The curriculum consists of six areas of learning:
· Personal Social and Emotional Development
· Communication Language and Literacy
· Problem Solving, Reasoning and Numeracy
· Knowledge and Understanding of
the World
· Creative Development
· Physical Development
We celebrate the children’s birthdays, acknowledge festivals and
special days of various cultures and warmly invite visitors to nursery
to enhance the children’s knowledge and experience.
Special Educational Needs
The nursery follows the Special Educational Needs
Code of Practice as set out for all schools. The Headteacher is the coordinator
for special needs and is responsible for liaising with parents and relevant
professionals where necessary regarding children’s needs.
Child Protection
The nursery is committed to providing a safe and secure environment for
the children, for staff and for visitors. All members of the school community
need to feel confident about sharing any concerns they may have about
their own safety or the well being of others.
All adults at the nursery are required to report to the Headteacher
any instances of actual or suspected child abuse or neglect. The Headteacher
in turn has a responsibility to inform the relevant authorities of any
such concerns.
