Admissions

The names of children can be put on the waiting list during the term in which they have their second birthday. Parents are invited to make an appointment to come into the nursery prior to putting their child's name on the list.

Children's paintingsThe nursery has an Admissions Policy that you are welcome to see and an Admissions Panel termly.

Starting Nursery
Children generally enter nursery between three and a half and four years of age. New parents are invited to a meeting soon after being offered a place for their child.

A Home visit is offered to all new parents.

All children attend for an “induction” session before the rest of the children return to nursery.

New children do not all start nursery on the same day. Entry is staggered so that time can be spent settling each child in properly.

The Next Step
Most of our children, in the term after their fifth birthday, move on to one of the three local primary schools, with whom the nursery has very close links.
