Admissions

The names of the children can be put on to the waiting list during the academic year in which they have their second birthday. (The academic year being between 1st September and 31st August).

The nursery has an admissions policy that you are welcome to see and an Admissions Panel that meets termly.

Starting Nursery
Children are eligible to start nursery the term after their third birthday. Places are offered as soon as possible, depending on availabilty and adhering to the Admissions Policy.

A Home visit is offered to all new parents.

All children attend for an “induction” session before the rest of the children return to nursery.

New children do not all start nursery on the same day. Entry is staggered so that time can be spent settling each child in properly.

The Next Step
Most of our children, in the term after their fifth birthday, move on to one of the three local primary schools, with whom the nursery has very close links.
